TO WHO DO WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, AND WHY?

  • To external suppliers and service providers engaged by us to assist in developing and providing our legal services.

  • To external software service providers (SaaS), including Microsoft 365, Xero, and Clio, for the limited purpose of booking appointments and securely storing and managing client information. Some of these providers may be located overseas. We only engage with reputable external service providers, and we take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas providers do not breach the APPs.

We may disclose personal information to third parties that is unrelated to the primary purpose it was collected, in certain exceptional extreme circumstances including:

  • Where we believe it is necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to the life, health or safety of any person, or to public health or safety.

  • As required by law or to establish or defend a legal or equitable claim.

  • If the ownership or control of all or part of our business changes, we may transfer your personal information to the new owner.

We not disclose your sensitive information unless:

 

  • we have your consent, or

  • we are otherwise reasonably required or reasonably able to do so as set out in this policy.

In practical terms, examples are the use of 2 factor identification, encryption, and our staff undertaking cyber risk and data privacy training.
